Location: White River Junction, VT 05009.
Pay Rate: $63 per hour
Schedule: Flexible day, evening, and overnight shifts available. 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Weekend rotations included
Contract Length: 1 year with the option to extend
Benefits: $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare, 10 days PTO, Accrued sick days, and Paid Holidays.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in advanced Nuclear Medicine procedures, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. You will work alongside radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams using advanced imaging technology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment for our nation's veterans.
Requirements:
- Current ARRT or NMTCB certification required
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Nuclear Medicine experience
- Experience with advanced Nuclear Medicine procedures and imaging equipment
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety
- Must be able to pass federal background clearance
- Prior VA experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Perform Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures including Bone Scans, Cardiac Stress Tests, HIDA scans, GI studies, Lung scans, and more
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast materials safely
- Operate advanced imaging equipment and ensure high-quality diagnostic images
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to adverse reactions if needed
- Review imaging orders, maintain accurate patient records, and document procedures in CPRS/PACS systems
- Follow radiation safety, sterile technique, and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to provide excellent patient care
- Assist with equipment maintenance and report technical issues as needed
