Bilingual HR Specialist We are looking for a dependable, approachable, and highly organized Bilingual HR Coordinator/Specialist to join our growing Human Resources team. In this role, you will help employees navigate important workplace processes while supporting recruiting, onboarding, timekeeping, benefits, training, employee records, and other day-to-day HR needs. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for employees in both English and Spanish and help ensure that HR information and services are accessible across our workforce. This role is located in Virginia Beach, VA and pay is $19 - $21/hr based on experience. The schedule is Monday - Friday, standard business hours. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as an initial point of contact for routine employee questions and HR support in English and Spanish.
Coordinate recruiting for assigned positions.
Post job openings, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
Coordinate new-hire paperwork, orientation, onboarding activities, and employee check-ins.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HR, payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and training systems.
Help employees and managers resolve routine timekeeping issues.
Assist employees with benefit enrollment and access to benefit information.
Coordinate training schedules, materials, communications, attendance, and completion records.
Support employee status changes, individual-contributor offboarding, and exit interviews.
Prepare HR communications, reports, forms, and other documentation.
Support employee engagement, recognition, and HR improvement initiatives.
Listen to employee concerns, document information accurately, and promptly escalate sensitive or complex matters to the Director of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
Professional verbal and written proficiency in both English and Spanish.
At least two years of experience in HR, recruiting, payroll, employee service, office administration, or a related area.
Strong organization, accuracy, follow-through, and attention to detail.
A professional and approachable communication style.
Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.
Strong computer skills and the ability to learn HR, payroll, timekeeping, and applicant-tracking systems.
Ability to work effectively with employees, candidates, supervisors, and managers across the organization.
