Experienced Slate & Shingles Installer

GSM Roofing is hiring experienced slate and shingles installers at our Ephrata, PA location. If you know your way around a pitched roof - or you've put in time in construction, landscaping, or another outdoor trade - we want to talk to you.

This job is Safety-Sensitive. Safety-Sensitive jobs include tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others.

You'll handle tear-offs, installations, and repairs on sloped roofs, including shingles, metal, slate, and specialty systems. This is outdoor work in all weather. If you've worked construction, landscaping, or any outdoor trade, you know what that means. These tasks and duties include, but are not limited to operating: material handling equipment, motorized vehicles, roofing equipment/machinery, power tools, working at height over four feet and working in confined spaces (or as prescribed by OSHA).

Essential Job Functions:

• Tear off and install steep slope roofing systems
• Work with sheet metal, slate, and specialty materials
• Set up safety equipment
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and motorized equipment
• Maintain clean, safe job sites

Qualifications:

• Experienced in slate and shingle installation
• Previous outdoor experience preferred in construction or roofing
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights on pitched roofs
• Able to lift 75 lbs
• Speak and understand English for safety reasons
• Valid driver's license
