Medical Doctor

We are partnered with an excellent non-profit organization that is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services to underserved communities. This organization is seeking a dedicated Physician to provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care within a community healthcare setting. The role involves performing examinations, diagnosing and treating patients, documenting care in EMR systems, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting positive patient outcomes while upholding the organization's mission and values.

Location: Bronx, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments, physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning in accordance with clinical standards and regulations.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to support appropriate medical treatment.
• Deliver preventive, routine, and urgent medical care while monitoring patient progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care and continuity of services.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations using sound clinical judgment and established protocols.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and overall wellness.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, peer reviews, and continuing education activities.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and effective communication with diverse patient populations.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or related specialty.
• Active New York State medical license and DEA certification required.
• Experience working with underserved or community-based populations preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and EMR documentation skills.
• Current life support and infection control certifications required.
