We're Hiring: Nurse Manager - Behavioral Health

Brooklyn, NY Contract (Potential Extension)

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager - Behavioral Health to lead operations for an inpatient psychiatric unit in an acute care hospital setting. This is a great opportunity for a strong RN leader with hands-on psych unit management experience.

️ Must Have: Experience managing a psychiatric unit in an acute care hospital.

Assignment Details

• Start: May 4, 2026 (Tentative)
• End: August 1, 2026 (Tentative, possible extension)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Location: Brooklyn, NY
• Interviews: Virtual
• 24-hour operational responsibility

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the inpatient psychiatric unit
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (DOH, OMH, JCAHO, etc.)
• Oversee admissions, discharges, and patient care delivery
• Drive quality improvement and performance initiatives
• Maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance
• Manage staffing, operations, and interdisciplinary collaboration

Qualifications

• Active RN License (New York State)
• BSN required (Master's preferred)
• 5+ years RN experience (with psych background)
• 2+ years in leadership/management
• Experience managing a hospital-based psychiatric unit (required)
• BLS & ACLS (AHA) required
• Crisis Management Certification (PMCS, TRUST, or equivalent)
