Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Pediatric, adult, and NICU experience preferred.

Unit Details: Day-shift RTs may sometimes be the only RT in-house, and the night-shift RT is the only RT each shift. When two RTs are on days, duties are split based on need across the acute/ICU, ER, outpatient, and OB areas. Patient coverage includes inpatient, outpatient, ER, floor, ICU, and OB; there is no NICU, but RTs attend all high-risk deliveries and C-sections and respond to rapid-response calls. RTs can assist with cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation if needed. RTs draw and run ABGs, perform EKGs, PFTs, and stress tests, and provide breathing treatments. RTs assist the MD with intubation while working toward doing so independently. RTs may need to work independently when they are the only RT in-house. Equipment includes Hamilton C1 ventilators, Philips Respironics V60 BiPAPs, Vapotherm, and Airvo. A hospitalist or intensivist is in-house 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: Schedule follows a 7-on/7-off rotation running Thursday through Wednesday. May need to help with nights for call-offs/vacations. Weekend coverage follows the 7-on/7-off schedule. Holiday coverage follows the 7-on/7-off schedule and is subject to seniority and requests. No call.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program - 8th Edition)
