Position summary

Local specialty pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support specialty pharmacy operations on a 4-week contract basis. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and experience working in a specialty or complex-medication environment.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and verify specialty medications in accordance with state and federal regulations

• Perform drug utilization review and clinical screenings

• Counsel patients on specialty drug therapies, adherence, and side effects

• Collaborate with prescribers and care teams to manage patient outcomes

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies

• Support prior authorization and insurance coordination as needed

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted state pharmacist license

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy

• Specialty pharmacy experience preferred

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy management software
