Psychiatric Nurse

Job Title: Behavioral Health RN (Geropsychiatric Unit) - Night Shift

Location: Nashua, NH (St Joseph Hospital - Nashua)

Pay Rate: $65.00 - $72.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in a Geropsychiatric Unit. The RN will assess, monitor, and treat patients while supporting therapeutic activities and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and behavioral changes
• Perform mental and physical health assessments
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Conduct therapeutic activities including group sessions and 1:1 interactions
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Assist patients with daily living activities
• Prepare and manage discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation (admissions, assessments, progress notes)

Requirements

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required (Bachelor's preferred)
• Active New Hampshire RN License
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
