Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 13–26 Week Contracts Available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients with diagnoses including Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, Pacemaker/ICD implantations, and Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization
• Manage cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, and Diltiazem
• Perform specialized procedures including Sheath Pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop
• Monitor and interpret continuous cardiac telemetry in a fast-paced unit environment; must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Float to other units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments; contract staff may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC or a Compact state (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing
• Proficiency with Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR communication
• Must be available to work 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are welcome; a local rate applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers are accepted; prior travel nursing experience is a plus
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:5–6 in a high-acuity cardiac environment
• Comfort working in a fast-paced unit with complex cardiac patient populations
