• 10 days per month long weekends to 10-day stints
• 24-hour on-call required
• 6 - 8 patients per day plus 3 - 4 consults
• 3 - 4 surgeries per day
• Inpatient hospital setting
• Emergency general surgery, acute care surgery, and trauma
• Leave coverage prior provider fell through
• High-volume, fast-paced facility
