Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses at an occupational health clinic
Manage casework including work restrictions and return-to-work evaluation for adult patients
Perform procedures such as joint and tendon aspirations, injections, splinting, suturing, and vaccinations
Interpret diagnostic tests like PFTs, labs, and imaging
Collaborate with the occupational health team on case management and patient care plans
Support injury documentation and workers' compensation case management
Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulationsWhat You Need
Required:
Active Michigan Nurse Practitioner license
Board Certification in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
DEA certification
BLS and DOT/FMCSA certifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience recommended
Preferred:
Experience with occupational injury management, musculoskeletal procedures, and return-to-work assessmentsAbout the Assignment This role supports an occupational health unit dedicated to managing work-related injuries and illnesses. You will work closely with clinical staff to ensure patient care and compliance during a busy period at a meat packing plant, supporting adult patient populations with varied occupational health needs.
