Life Skills Instructor

Beckerle is located in Danbury, CT (across from Danbury High School) and is home to 4 men and 2 women. Our individuals are low key, laid back, and fun to be around. They are all ambulatory, with some needing assistance with use of a walker or gait belt, and they do require prompting to complete activities of daily living. 3 individuals attend Day Program or Work Programs a few days per week. When at home the individuals participate in various activities during the day. They enjoy arts and crafts, sorting, puzzles, movies, light-brite, music, and looking through magazines. On the weekends, individuals enjoy recreation activities like walking at the mall, going to the movies, museums, Special Olympics practice, out to eat for lunch/dinner, baking, arts/crafts, listening to music, puzzles, etc.
