National Credit Manager

Credit Manager (Accounts Receivable & Collections)
Pay Range: $75,000 $85,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced Credit Manager to lead credit, collections, and accounts receivable functions across multiple facilities nationwide. This role is responsible for overseeing credit risk, approving and managing customer credit limits, and ensuring effective collections processes to maintain strong cash flow.

This position will serve as the primary point of ownership for credit decisions across facilities in Arkansas, California, Illinois, and New Jersey. The ideal candidate brings a balance of hands-on AR experience and strong judgment in credit risk evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, cash application, and account reconciliation

• Review, approve, and manage customer credit limits and terms across all locations

• Partner with credit insurance providers to establish credit for new customers and maintain existing coverage

• Evaluate customer financials, payment history, and risk factors to make informed credit decisions

• Monitor aging reports and proactively manage past due accounts

• Oversee and execute collections strategies, including calls and written communication

• Identify and escalate high-risk accounts and recommend appropriate action

• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes

• Maintain accurate documentation of credit decisions, account activity, and communications

• Support month-end close, reporting, and audit processes

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, and collections

• Proven experience reviewing and approving customer credit

• Strong understanding of credit risk analysis, aging reports, and collections strategies

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment

• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
