Radiologic Technologist (Multimodality)
Location: Santa Clara County, California
Pay Range: $1,920- $2,268/week (for qualifying candidates)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position Type: Contract with potential for extension or permanent placement
Position Overview
Cornerstone Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist on behalf of our client in the Los Gatos, CA area. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative outpatient setting, supporting physicians and clinical teams through high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic Imaging
- Perform a variety of radiologic procedures, including routine and specialized imaging
- Operate radiographic equipment such as standard X-ray, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging units
- Assist physicians with advanced imaging procedures, including those involving contrast media
- Ensure proper patient positioning and technique to achieve accurate diagnostic results
Patient Care
- Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients to ensure understanding and comfort
- Apply radiation safety standards, including ALARA principles
- Adjust imaging techniques based on patient needs, anatomy, and physician orders
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Review images for accuracy, quality, and proper identification prior to submission
- Follow all regulatory, safety, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance concerns as needed
Documentation and Workflow
- Accurately document procedures, imaging results, and patient interactions
- Maintain logs, reports, and required documentation in accordance with regulations
- Support departmental workflow and assist with additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Active California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license
- Current ARRT (R) certification
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of two years of diagnostic radiology experience
- Experience working with EMR systems
- Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Background in outpatient or ambulatory care settings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
