The Opportunity
The Sutcliffe Clinic is seeking a high-caliber Behavior Team Clinic Supervisor to join our multidisciplinary team. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a significant leadership role within an innovative, high-touch care model that prioritizes clinical quality over quantity.
In this role, you will be the clinical heartbeat of your team, managing and mentoring a pod of both Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) while maintaining a high-impact clinical caseload. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will work at the intersection of clinical excellence and operational efficiency, ensuring that our "high-touch" philosophy is reflected in every treatment plan and staff interaction.
This is a full time, on-site position requiring daily presence within our clinic.
Minimum Requirements
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Minimum 8 years experience as a BCBA in school, in-home, and/or clinical environments
- Minimum of 6 years experience supervising and/or managing a team of behavioral technicians
- Prior work experience delivering Naturalistic Behavior Therapies (PRT, ESDM, Incidental Teaching) and Early Intervention Services is highly desirable
- Proof of immunity to COVID-19; TDAP, Measles, Mumps, Rubella; Varicella; and Pertussis
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
- Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes and other community settings to provide services
- Previous experience in Central Reach
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and mentor a cohort of experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), BCBA Fellows, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Provide supervision that meets all Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) requirements for staff pursuing professional licensure.
- Deliver clinical oversight within a two-tiered service delivery model to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Engage in the recruitment and onboarding of new clinical personnel to maintain a strong cultural and clinical alignment.
- Manage a limited clinical caseload, which includes the provision of direct 1:1 services.
- Conduct initial assessments and Functional Analyses (FAs) to inform data-driven treatment planning and decisions.
- Develop highly individualized treatment plans, behavior support plans, and instructional curricula.
- Enforce "The Sutcliffe Standard," which mandates weekly parent training and weekly clinical supervision for every active case.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs through systematic, regular data analysis, graphical representation, and subsequent plan modifications.
- Collaborate with the Care Coordinator regarding the management of service authorizations, scheduling logistics, and documentation of medical necessity.
- Uphold "Billable Integrity" by ensuring the accurate and timely submission of all clinical notes, timesheets, and consent documentation.
- Participate in scheduled weekly meetings, including the BCBA Team, Behavioral Team, All Staff meetings, and individual 1-to-1 supervision sessions.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Possess expert-level knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) standards and the capacity to translate these standards into practical, actionable staff training protocols.
- Demonstrate robust competencies in leadership, maintaining billable integrity, implementing empathy-driven accountability, and effective communication.
- Commit to achieving mastery of Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) within the initial 90 days of employment.
- Exhibit the ability to apply flexible thinking and adapt therapeutic interventions for implementation across home, school, and community environments.
- Display excellence in multimodal communication, encompassing technical documentation and professional public speaking.
- Maintain a high degree of emotional intelligence to effectively monitor and regulate one's own emotions and those of the clinical team.
- Demonstrate proficiency in establishing meaningful professional relationships and accurately discerning the feelings and perspectives of others.
- Possess strong professional self-awareness concerning clinical strengths and a dedicated commitment to continuous personal development.
- Show a high level of receptivity to constructive professional feedback and a proactive willingness to cultivate new skill sets.
- Employ exceptional time management skills to independently manage both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
- Adhere to uncompromising ethical standards regarding the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the BACB Code of Ethics, and internal clinic policies.
- Be willing to travel locally up to 50% of the work week to provide on-site client services and direct staff support.
