UI/UX Designer 4 (Senior UX Designer)

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a UI/UX Designer 4 (Senior UX Designer) in Broomfield, CO, Chicago, IL, or Peoria, IL. The work will be done hybrid, requiring 2–3 days onsite per week, with Broomfield and Chicago preferred. This is a 12–24 month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to 81/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to develop innovative, user-centered digital solutions from concept through product delivery. This role focuses on creating wireframes, prototypes, personas, user journeys, and interactive designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The designer will advocate for customer needs while balancing business objectives, technical constraints, and design standards. The ideal candidate has strong UX design experience, interaction design capabilities, and an interest in advanced digital solutions, energy technologies, or electric vehicles and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, user personas, journey maps, and digital experiences.


• Conduct and incorporate user research to improve usability and overall customer experience.


• Collaborate with product teams, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into user-centered design solutions.


• Advocate for user needs while balancing technical feasibility, business goals, and design standards.


• Contribute to feature definition, interaction design, and delivery of high-quality digital products.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of UX design experience with a degree, or 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree.


• Strong experience in UX/UI design, wireframing, prototyping, user research, personas, and journey mapping.


• Experience creating and presenting digital design concepts to stakeholders.


• Knowledge of interaction design and user-centered design principles.


• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional product and engineering teams.


• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.


• Must be local to Broomfield, CO, Chicago, IL, or Peoria, IL, and willing to work onsite 2–3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with battery management, charging systems, or energy solutions.


• Knowledge of electric vehicles, electric machinery, or related technologies.


• Experience with 3D design, 3D imaging, and mapping technologies.


• Strong background in interactive digital experiences and complex product interfaces.


• Experience designing solutions for industrial, technical, or advanced technology applications.
