Technical Support Coordinator

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a mechanically knowledgeable and detail-oriented Technical Support Coordinator for an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity in the Greensboro/Triad area.

This position is ideal for an individual with hands-on experience in mechanical repair, equipment maintenance, automotive service, or a related technical field who is interested in transitioning into a professional, office-based environment.

The successful candidate will utilize their technical knowledge, troubleshooting abilities, and communication skills to assist with operational support activities, resolve technical inquiries, and contribute to efficient daily workflows.

We are looking for a motivated problem-solver who enjoys helping others, learning new processes, and applying practical mechanical experience in a collaborative workplace.

Location: Greensboro/Triad Area, NC

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Compensation: $20.00–$25.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical and technical knowledge to research, evaluate, and assist with equipment-related inquiries.


• Analyze technical concerns and recommend practical solutions based on mechanical principles and troubleshooting experience.


• Communicate technical information clearly and professionally to internal and external contacts.


• Maintain accurate documentation of technical inquiries, activities, and resolutions.


• Utilize available resources, reference materials, and computer applications to support problem resolution.


• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure inquiries are addressed efficiently and accurately.


• Identify recurring concerns and contribute recommendations for improved processes.


• Organize and prioritize multiple requests while maintaining attention to detail and service quality.


• Support general operational and administrative activities requiring mechanical knowledge.


• Participate in ongoing training to strengthen technical knowledge and familiarity with established procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience in automotive repair, diesel mechanics, equipment maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related mechanical field.


• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and general troubleshooting principles.


• Familiarity with hydraulic and/or electrical systems preferred.


• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify practical solutions to technical challenges.


• Effective verbal and written communication skills.


• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.


• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.


• Professional attitude, dependable work ethic, and willingness to learn new processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing mechanical or equipment-related issues.


• Background in automotive, diesel, industrial, or equipment service environments.


• Previous experience documenting technical issues or communicating repair recommendations.


• Familiarity with interpreting technical information, service documentation, or mechanical diagrams.


• Experience in a customer-facing, service coordination, or technical support environment.
