CDL Truck Driver - Local

This Class A Truck Driver will transport grain, flour, and other materials for our customers locally. This position is primarily responsible for providing Class A driving support to our local flour mill, requiring compliance with all DOT and Company Safety Regulations.

1. $25.50/hour straight time

2. Sunday-Thursday schedule

3. 6am-5pm daily

4. Additional $5 per hour for Saturday and Sunday

5. 15 days’ vacation (accrued annually)

6. 9 Paid holidays + 2 floating holidays per year

CDL TRUCK DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Complete Local pick ups and deliveries

2. Move dry van trailers away from the dock, and place empty trailers for preloading

3. Move loaded and empty trailers around the property at customer’s direction

4. Stage trailers at customer to be unloaded

5. Assist in moving equipment into and out of the wash bay

6. Travel equipment to local facilities for services

7. Complete daily pre and post trips inspections, including preventative maintenance

8. Constantly communicate with Supervisor and Customer Manager to meet needs timely

9. Ensure compliance with all Company, Local, State and Federal regulations

10. Confirm accuracy of BOL’s, Seals and trailer numbers

11. Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.

12. Load/Unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight, if required.

13. Maintain vehicle cleanliness

14. Ability to work in all weather conditions

15. Must be professional and courteous to customers and fellow employees

16. Be on-time, making customer service a priority

Qualifications

Qualifications

CDL TRUCK DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 2 years verifiable Class A experience within the last 5 years

2. Working knowledge of pneumatic trailers or willingness to learn

3. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions in English

4. Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedure

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Climbing into and out of tractors, and on top of pneumatic trailers

2. Cranking of landing gear

3. Lifting, as needed

4. Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather conditions
