Job Description

  • Promptly report unsafe conditions, accidental releases, and incidents to the Supervisor and/or EHS Coordinator.

  • Operate the Industrial Wastewater Treatment System in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Operator Manual.

  • Perform and document daily, weekly, and monthly system cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance activities as specified in SOPs and the Operator Manual.

  • Operate and maintain the filter press, including chemical loading and unloading, following all established procedures.

  • Conduct routine inspections and calibrations and monitor and record pH levels and zinc concentrations at required frequencies.

  • Identify and troubleshoot basic system issues using guidelines from the Operator Manual; perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., pump rebuilds, diaphragm cleaning) and submit maintenance work orders for advanced repairs.

  • Adhere to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) recommendations for proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe chemical handling; understand emergency response procedures for all chemicals used.

  • Clean spills from equipment and work areas promptly to prevent corrosion and cross-contamination.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 6S guidelines.

  • Manage MRO responsibilities, including inventory management, procurement, vendor coordination, recordkeeping, reporting, and support for preventive maintenance activities.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
