You are currently leading F&B in a hotel environment. You know boutique or lifestyle hospitality from the inside. You understand the pace, the guest expectations, and what it takes to run a full F&B operation across multiple outlets. You are ready for a role where your influence extends beyond your outlet to the full property experience, and where your decisions shape the guest experience, the team culture, and the financial result. You want direct access to hotel and corporate leadership, and a platform that positions you for GM, corporate, or VP-level responsibility.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

This is a 145-room boutique hotel housed in a beautifully restored historic building in downtown Des Moines. The property combines distinctive design and independent character with the support of a respected lifestyle hotel company with several Michelin Key properties. Des Moines offers a lively downtown, a growing culinary and cultural scene, manageable commutes, and a cost of living that gives this compensation real purchasing power.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

▪ Lead the complete F&B experience across the restaurant, bar, banquets, catering, in-room dining, and private events ▪ Shape and own the wine, spirits, and cocktail program ▪ Set service standards and build a strong service culture across all F&B outlets ▪ Drive financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, labor management, product costs, inventory, and profitability ▪ Rebuild and develop the senior F&B leadership team, establishing clear standards and accountability ▪ Partner closely with culinary leadership to deliver a cohesive guest experience ▪ Contribute as a full member of the Executive Committee, working alongside hotel and corporate leaders ▪ Collaborate with sales leaders on weddings, catering, and private event strategy

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

▪ Current or very recent senior F&B leadership experience within a hotel environment, boutique, lifestyle, luxury, or independent property strongly preferred ▪ Exposure to the full F&B mix including restaurant, bar, banquets, catering, and in-room dining within a hotel operating context ▪ Familiarity with hotel Executive Committee dynamics and cross-departmental collaboration ▪ Credibility across restaurant service, banquets, catering, weddings, and private events ▪ A well-rounded passion for beverage, including wine, spirits, and craft cocktails ▪ Financial command of budgeting, forecasting, labor, product costs, and profitability ▪ Proven experience hiring, developing, and holding managers accountable ▪ Executive presence and sound judgment as a senior property leader ▪ Full authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
