Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Mother Baby unit, you will provide leadership which facilities the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

You will oversee the delivery of patient care for a group of patients and directs patient care based on patient acuity and staff availability.

You will provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care processes indicated to adhere to legal, ethical and competency level of staff.

You will formulate plan of care based on patient assessment and identified needs.

You will plan, anticipate, prioritize and monitor delivery of care through critical reasoning based on patients need, response and progress.

You will collaborate and consult with patients, colleagues and interdisciplinary team members to achieve desired outcomes.

You will document and report data, patient response and progress.

You will provide education for self, staff, colleagues, patients and/or families.

• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, or Bachelors Degree, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree, or Associate Degree must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
