Security Officer

Role Description The Security Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Weslaco, Texas. In this role, the Security Officer will monitor premises, patrol designated areas, and observe activities to deter and detect potential security issues. Daily tasks include controlling access to facilities, verifying identification, responding to alarms or incidents, documenting reports, and communicating promptly with supervisors and clients. The Security Officer will enforce site-specific policies, follow post orders, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary. The role also involves engaging with visitors and employees in a professional manner, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Qualifications

Level III (3) Active License with pocket card in hand.

• Demonstrated ability to remain alert, observant, and detail-oriented while performing patrols and monitoring activities.


• Strong communication skills, including clear verbal reporting and accurate written incident documentation.


• Ability to follow established procedures, post orders, and safety protocols consistently and reliably.


• Capacity to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, conflicts, or unusual situations.


• Professional demeanor, strong customer service orientation, and ability to interact respectfully with diverse individuals.


• Basic computer literacy for using security systems, reporting tools, and email; familiarity with CCTV or alarm systems is a plus.


• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and meet any site-specific physical requirements.


• High school diploma or equivalent; prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required.


• Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to pass any required background checks and licensing processes.


• Willingness to work assigned shifts, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
