Workplace Type: Hybrid

Pay: $50,000 to $52,000

About the Organization

Our client is a CARF-accredited, mission-driven nonprofit that helps Veterans and their families in Palm Beach County find and keep stable housing.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

This is a team that truly cares, about the Veterans they serve and about each other. People here have each other’s backs, celebrate wins together, and support one another on the hard days.

Leadership is hands-on and approachable, training is real, and you’ll never be left to figure things out alone. If you want meaningful work where you can make a difference, without giving up great benefits or work-life balance, this is the place.

The Role

As a Social Worker, you’ll provide case management to Veteran households in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. The work is short-term and focused. Most cases run about 90 days, and a full caseload is typically 20 to 25 households. You’ll help each household move from a housing crisis to a stable home, and you’ll see the impact of your work quickly.

What You’ll Do

  • Meet with Veteran households, assess their needs, and build Housing Stability Plans and budgets together

  • Support housing search, applications, landlord communication, and move-in

  • Connect Veterans to VA benefits, healthcare, behavioral health, legal help, and employment resources

  • Advocate for clients and submit requests for temporary financial assistance through the program’s approval process

  • Keep case notes and electronic records accurate and up to date

  • Take part in supervision, case conferencing, and ongoing training

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required. A BSW or MSW is preferred, and degrees in psychology, sociology, human services, or a related field are welcome.

  • A big heart for helping people and strong organization skills

  • Self-starter who can manage your own caseload and deadlines

  • Comfort with technology. A work phone and laptop are provided.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Recent graduates are welcome! The team will train you.

  • Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Veteran preference applies.

Schedule

Full-time. You’ll start with 3 to 4 weeks of paid training in the office. After that, the role is hybrid, split between field and remote work, with a minimum of 32 in-office hours per month (typically one day a week).

Benefits

  • 100% employer-paid health insurance (Florida Blue PPO or HMO)

  • Employer-provided dental and vision

  • $10,000 life insurance policy, employer-paid

  • 13 paid federal holidays

  • PTO starting at about 9 days in year one, growing to 12 in year two, with another increase at year five

  • Mileage reimbursement

  • Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

  • Real room for career growth
