Low Voltage Project Managers, Engineers and technicians

Role Description This is a full-time Low Voltage Technician role based in Franklin Square, NY. The Low Voltage Technician must knowledge with booth Copper and Fiber Optic cabling installing, terminate, and testing and related low voltage systems, following company standards and industry best practices. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, pulling and routing cables, mounting and labeling equipment, and assisting with setup of IT, security, A/V, and CCTV infrastructure. The role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosing issues with low voltage systems, and collaborating with project managers and senior technicians to ensure timely and accurate project completion. The technician will also adhere to safety protocols, maintain organized work areas, and provide clear documentation of work performed.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering principles relevant to low voltage systems.


• Experience with electrical equipment and electrical maintenance in commercial or institutional environments.


• Proficient troubleshooting skills for low voltage cabling, connectivity issues, and system performance problems.


• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and construction plans, and follow written and verbal instructions.


• Familiarity with installation and testing of copper and fiber optic cabling; experience with basic hand and power tools.


• Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines.


• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and clients.


• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications (e.g., BICSI, low voltage or cabling certifications) are a plus.


• Reliable transportation to the Franklin Square, NY site and ability to work flexible part-time hours as needed.
