About our client
Our client is a health tech company whose platform helps patients overcome the financial barriers to getting on therapy. Hospitals, health systems, infusion centers, and oncology groups use it to connect patients with financial assistance, and pharma manufacturers use it to enroll patients in their copay programs directly inside the provider’s workflow in just a few clicks, which gets patients on therapy significantly faster and gives brands clear reporting on enrollment.
The pharma offering has strong renewals, repeat business, and expansions within top-10 pharma. The company has also launched a patient-facing adherence and education offering that lets manufacturers reach patients directly with content like side effect mitigation, injection schedules, and nutrition guidance, which went through roughly a year-long beta with a top-10 pharma company before the team began expanding it. Pharma is one of the company’s newest and fastest-growing verticals, and leadership is investing heavily to grow the team around it.
About the role
As Director of Sales, Pharma, you’ll be an individual contributor responsible for winning new business with pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers. You’ll own a large set of named accounts and run the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching through negotiating and closing, while building long-term relationships with Market Access, Patient Services, and Commercial stakeholders. Because deals are signed drug by drug, each manufacturer you close comes with built-in expansion across its other brands.
You’ll sell both the established copay enrollment product and the newer adherence offering, which means part of the job is helping shape a product that is still evolving and working through longer, more complex sales cycles for it. There are currently only about one and a half sales directors covering pharma nationally, so you’ll have a big book of accounts and a real voice in how this vertical grows.
Pipeline comes from a mix of marketing, conferences, and referrals, including providers on the platform who push manufacturers to join, but the right person treats the role as eat-what-you-hunt. Pre-sales and product support are available when deals call for it. The leadership team is based in New York and Israel, so candidates further west should be comfortable with some early mornings. Travel is up to 50%, mostly for conferences and visits with prospects and existing customers.
Compensation is a $150K–$175K base with on-target earnings at double base, uncapped commissions, and kicker opportunities.
