Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Madison, WI | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend and some holidays required, including December 24 and December 25

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across both an IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and an IMC Thoracic unit
• Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry, including oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown populations
• Care for patients requiring ventilator management and transplant support
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Pass a telemetry competency exam prior to start, meeting strict pass/fail criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and a minimum 80% overall score

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the submitted specialty
• Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
• Familiarity with both medical/progressive care and thoracic IMC patient populations
