Role: Control Engineer

Location: North Haven, CT (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Control Engineer with experience in PLC programming, machine vision systems, and automated assembly equipment. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving automated manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs using Allen-Bradley GuardLogix, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix.


• Work with FactoryTalk ME/SE for HMI and SCADA applications.


• Program and troubleshoot Cognex or Keyence machine vision systems.


• Develop and modify Ladder Logic, SCL, and Function Block Diagram (FBD) programs.


• Troubleshoot automated assembly equipment, servo motors, and stepper controls.


• Read and interpret electrical schematics and support equipment validation.


• Participate in DFMEA/PFMEA activities and process improvement initiatives.


• Support equipment commissioning and travel domestically up to 10%.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in controls engineering or PLC programming.


• Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk.


• Experience with Cognex or Keyence vision systems.


• Knowledge of Ladder Logic, SCL, and FBD.


• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.


• Understanding of electrical schematics, servo/stepper controls, and equipment validation.


• Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA and process improvement.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
