Tax Accountant / Tax Senior

About the Opportunity

Career Accountancy is working with a growing accounting firm in North Carolina that is looking to expand its tax team across its Raleigh and Greenville offices. With an increasing workload and plans for further growth, the firm is looking to bring on talented tax professionals at both junior and senior levels.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with public accounting experience who wants to develop their technical tax knowledge, build strong client relationships, and explore opportunities in tax advisory.

The firm offers a collaborative office environment, a consistent 40-hour workweek, and additional earning potential through commission and bonuses, without the long hours often associated with public accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, depending on experience.


• Work with a range of business entities, including partnerships and S corporations.


• Support clients with tax compliance, planning, and advisory services.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and guidance.


• Identify opportunities to assist clients with additional tax and advisory needs.


• Collaborate with colleagues and partners to deliver high-quality accounting and tax services.


• Take on increasing responsibility as your experience and technical knowledge develop.

Requirements

• Approximately 2–5 years of experience in public accounting, although candidates with more or less experience will also be considered.


• Experience preparing tax returns, ideally including business tax returns.


• A strong understanding of tax compliance and a willingness to develop advisory skills.


• Good communication skills and the ability to build effective client relationships.


• A proactive approach to work and an interest in long-term professional development.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $55,000–$75,000, depending on experience.


• Additional earnings: Commission and bonus opportunities on top of base salary.
