Job Title: HVAC Technician
Location: Florence, Kentucky (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for an onsite opportunity supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of refrigerant-based HVAC systems. Our team is representing a role that offers hands-on work with critical building equipment, preventive maintenance, and day-to-day problem solving in a facility-focused environment.
Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair refrigerant-based HVAC equipment, including chillers, DX units, heat pumps, rooftop units, and VRF/VRV systems.


• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, brazing, compressor repairs, and related safety-compliant work.


• Troubleshoot electrical components, low-voltage controls, sensors, and automation devices while monitoring system performance.


• Complete preventive maintenance inspections, document findings and repairs, and support startups, commissioning, and functional testing.
  

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal) is required.


• 3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing refrigerant-based HVAC systems.


• Experience troubleshooting compressors, refrigerant circuits, and mechanical components, with working knowledge of HVAC electrical systems, low-voltage controls, safety procedures, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.


• Technical or vocational training in HVAC or a related field is required.


• Experience working with building automation systems such as Johnson Controls, Trane, Siemens, Honeywell, or Schneider is required; familiarity with system performance testing, energy efficiency optimization, and automation setpoint adjustments is also required.


• Additional experience supporting startups, commissioning, retrofit projects, and using CMMS is preferred, along with NATE, HVAC Excellence, or OEM-specific training.
