Industrial Maintenance Technician

Role Description The Industrial Maintenance Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Morristown, TN. In this role, the technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshooting production line problems, and completing repairs or part replacements. The technician will follow maintenance schedules, document work performed, and collaborate with production and safety teams to minimize downtime and maintain quality standards. This role may also involve reading technical manuals and blueprints, adhering to safety procedures, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in the facility.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance skills, including experience with industrial machinery, conveyors, motors, and mechanical assemblies.


• Basic electrical and electronics skills, such as troubleshooting circuits, using diagnostic tools, and safely working with control panels.


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis and minimizing equipment downtime.


• Knowledge of safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA guidelines, and safe use of tools and equipment.


• Experience with preventive maintenance programs, recordkeeping, and using maintenance logs or CMMS software.


• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, production staff, and other maintenance team members.


• Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance is strongly preferred; vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is beneficial.


• Ability to stand, lift, bend, and work in industrial environments for extended periods, with reliable transportation to the Morristown, TN facility.
