The Opportunity

Powerus is building an American autonomous systems and advanced manufacturing platform serving defense, government and commercial customers.

Lead daily production and help establish scalable assembly operations at our new 300,000 sq. ft. Rock Hill facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can build capable teams, introduce operational

discipline and deliver complex products at volume without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead production supervisors, team leaders and manufacturing personnel, setting clear daily priorities and accountability for output, quality and delivery.

• Establish assembly lines, workstation layouts, standard work and shift routines in partnership with

manufacturing engineering.

• Translate production schedules into practical staffing and capacity plans; resolve bottlenecks and

escalate material or engineering constraints promptly.

• Support new product introduction, engineering changes and production ramp-up, ensuring teams use approved work instructions and current configurations.

• Develop training and skills matrices, coach supervisors and build a workforce capable of supporting expanding production volumes.

• Improve throughput, first-pass yield, labor productivity and schedule attainment through lean methods and structured problem-solving.

• Work with engineering and quality to reduce rework, address recurring defects and evaluate appropriate tooling, robotics and automation.

• Maintain safe working practices, disciplined housekeeping and reliable production records across every shift.

Experience and Qualifications

• Substantial manufacturing leadership experience in complex assembly or high-volume production, with direct responsibility for supervisors and production teams.

• Experience establishing, expanding or improving manufacturing operations during a significant

production ramp.

• Relevant backgrounds include electronics, automotive, aerospace components, industrial equipment and advanced technology manufacturing.

• Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing, capacity planning, standard work, root-cause analysis and production performance management.

• Experience using ERP or manufacturing execution systems to manage work orders, output and

production records.

• Ability to work closely with engineering, quality and supply chain teams and make sound decisions under time pressure.

The Ideal Candidate

A practical leader who stays close to the production floor, develops strong supervisors and takes ownership of delivery. You should be comfortable building processes while the operation grows and holding teams to demanding standards.

Location

This is a full-time, on-site role in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Candidates must be based within commuting distance or willing to relocate. Relocation details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
