Risk Analyst (Bank/Financial)

Risk & Controls Analyst

Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid)

Pay Rate: $30/hour

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a detail-oriented Risk & Controls Analyst to support risk management and operational controls within a financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze risk data, metrics, and trends to identify potential issues.


• Prepare reports and dashboards to support management decisions.


• Review processes and controls and recommend improvements.


• Support risk assessments, audits, issue tracking, and remediation efforts.


• Monitor corrective actions and help ensure compliance with internal policies.


• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and Operations teams.


• Assist with special projects and ongoing risk reporting.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in financial services, operations, risk management, audit, compliance, or a related field.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


• Experience with Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with operational risk, internal controls, audit coordination, issue management, or remediation tracking.


• Familiarity with risk assessments, governance processes, and control frameworks.
