Director of Nursing – Newark, NJ - Outpatient FQHC

A well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Newark, NJ, is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead nursing and clinical support operations and help ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nursing leader who enjoys developing teams, strengthening clinical operations, and driving quality, safety, and compliance initiatives in a community healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and develop nursing and nutrition staff


• Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance management, and clinical education


• Direct quality assurance and risk management initiatives


• Chair Risk Management and Infection Control Committees


• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, patient safety protocols, and regulatory requirements


• Partner with clinical and administrative leadership on program development and process improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)


• Active New Jersey RN license


• At least 3 years of nursing leadership or management experience


• Ambulatory care or FQHC experience preferred
