Role & Responsibilities:
Perform forensic autopsies and external examinations.
Conduct and support medicolegal death investigations.
Prepare and review forensic pathology and autopsy reports.
Review case records and investigative information.
Provide consultation related to medical examiner/coroner services.
Provide expert opinions and testimony in depositions and court proceedings when required.
Collaborate with law enforcement, attorneys, medical examiner/coroner personnel, and other professionals.
Assist with case preparation and review for legal proceedings.
Maintain accurate case documentation and reports.
Perform other related forensic pathology services requested by Potter County.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified physician specializing in forensic pathology.
Appropriate medical licensure and professional credentials.
Relevant forensic pathology and medicolegal death investigation experience.
Experience with forensic autopsies and forensic pathology reporting.
Experience providing expert opinions and testimony in legal proceedings.
Ability to provide services in person when required.
Strong communication, analytical, documentation, and professional skills. read more
