Job Description

FAMILY OFFICE OF A PROMINENT LATIN MUSIC ARTIST

Manager, Accounting & Financial Operations

Location: Miami, FL | Type: Full-time, in person | Reports to: Fractional CFO | Pay: $80K–$100K base + bonus

POSITION OVERVIEW

The family office of a prominent Latin music artist is seeking a Manager, Accounting & Financial Operations to lead day-to-day finance across the artist's business and personal holdings. These include a record label, a name and likeness business, a touring company, and personal ventures and investments.

Reporting directly to the Fractional CFO, this person will be the primary on-site finance professional.

The role owns the weekly payment cycle, maintains accurate books across all entities, and gives the CFO and family a clear view of cash, spending and obligations.

The position is well suited to an accountant ready to take on broader ownership than a staff role provides. It offers direct exposure to family office wealth management and to the business side of a major music career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting & General Ledger

• Maintain the general ledger in AgilLink for all entities, including the record label, name and likeness business, touring company and personal ventures

• Complete monthly bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly

• Prepare draft monthly financial statements and variance reports for review by the Fractional CFO

• Maintain complete, audit-ready documentation for all transactions, including W-9s, invoices, contracts and ACH records

Accounts Payable & Cash Management

• Manage the weekly payment cycle, from invoice intake (Monday to Tuesday) and ACH setup (Tuesday to Wednesday) through approval and Friday fund transfers

• Route approvals according to the Delegated Authorities Table and escalate rush or exception payments to the CFO

• Pay vendors on net 30 terms within five business days of approval

• Prepare the weekly cash flow summary, disbursement report and receipt log

Family Office Financial Management

• Track personal, household and lifestyle expenses and investment income against budget

• Identify spending that is trending over budget and report it to the CFO with supporting detail

• Maintain current visibility into cash balances and upcoming obligations across all accounts

Royalties, Licensing & Touring Support

• Reconcile royalty, licensing and brand partnership income against contract terms and prepare royalty payment schedules for approval

• Support tour budgeting, expense tracking, and payments to touring staff and international contractors

• Coordinate with staff accountants and outside bookkeepers on cross-entity work as the team grows

Compliance & External Partners

• Serve as the day-to-day contact for the outside CPA firm on tax filings and audit preparation

• Apply and help enforce the internal controls and procurement procedures established by the CFO

• Recommend process and systems improvements as the office scales

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

• Prepare materials for and participate in the weekly stakeholder meeting on cash inflows and outflows

• Build and maintain financial dashboards for the CFO and family stakeholders

• Present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders, including the artist's team

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• 3 to 5 years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience, including accounts payable, reconciliations and month-end close

• Experience managing accounting for multiple entities

• Proficiency in AgilLink or a comparable cloud-based accounting platform

• Advanced Excel skills

• Based in Miami, FL, or willing to relocate before the start date

Preferred

• Experience in a family office, private wealth or high-net-worth household environment

• Background in music, entertainment, touring or royalty accounting

• Experience coordinating with an outside CPA firm

• CPA candidate or progress toward certification

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Exercises discretion and handles sensitive personal and financial information with complete confidentiality

• Combines technical skill with sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills and practical street smarts

• Adapts well to a fast-paced, high-profile and unconventional environment

• Takes direction well, follows through reliably and raises concerns through the appropriate channels

• Communicates financial information clearly to people outside of finance

• Manages recurring deadlines across multiple entities with strong attention to detail

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 base salary, based on experience, plus a performance bonus

• Benefits: Health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and support for professional development

• Location: Miami, FL, in person
