Funds Counsel | Investment Management | New York

Simmons & Hanbury is partnering with an established investment manager to recruit a funds-focused attorney for its New York legal team.

Working closely with senior legal leadership, this individual will support a broad range of fund-related matters and partner with stakeholders across the business. The position offers meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to develop within a sophisticated investment environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Support fund structuring, formation and ongoing legal matters.
• Review and negotiate fund documentation and investor agreements.
• Advise on fundraising, investor relations and broader investment management matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel on projects and business initiatives.

Ideal background:

• Approximately 4–9 years of relevant investment funds experience at a law firm and/or investment manager.
• Strong drafting, communication and commercial judgment.
• A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
