A leading CPA and advisory firm is looking for a growth-oriented Director or Principal to expand its Client Accounting Services practice in New York.

This is not simply an accounting delivery role. The firm wants someone who can win clients, grow relationships, lead teams and build a scalable CAS offering.

You will work with small and mid-sized businesses, acting as a senior financial advisor while overseeing outsourced accounting, reporting and finance functions.

The opportunity

• Lead and grow an established CAS practice


• Originate new client relationships


• Develop proposals, pricing and engagement scopes


• Act as a strategic advisor to business owners


• Oversee monthly close and financial reporting


• Advise on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and KPIs


• Lead Managers, Seniors and accounting staff


• Improve systems, technology and workflow


• Cross-sell broader accounting and advisory services

What they are looking for

• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience


• CPA required


• Public accounting and/or outsourced accounting leadership experience


• Proven business development and client-growth track record


• Experience advising small and mid-sized businesses


• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge


• Exposure to platforms such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com and Expensify


• Strong team leadership and mentoring experience

Location: New York, NY – Hybrid

Compensation: $200K–$500K+ depending on seniority, experience and commercial track record
