Position Overview

Right Place Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Miami, Florida.


This is a full-time, permanent leadership opportunity for an experienced nursing professional with a strong background in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) and long-term care. The Director of Nursing will oversee nursing operations, clinical quality, regulatory compliance, staffing, and overall nursing department performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing and clinical operations within the facility
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and long-term care regulations
  • Maintain survey readiness and oversee regulatory inspections and plans of correction
  • Manage nursing staffing, scheduling, performance, and staff development
  • Monitor clinical documentation, infection control, resident care, and quality indicators
  • Lead QAPI and performance improvement initiatives
  • Oversee nursing department staffing, labor, and budget management
  • Recruit, develop, and retain qualified nursing staff
  • Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team
  • Promote high standards of resident care, safety, and clinical quality


Required Qualifications

  • Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care compliance
  • Demonstrated experience with surveys, inspections, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and retain nursing staff
  • Experience overseeing staffing, labor management, and clinical operations in an SNF environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
