Job Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative with strong customer service to join our team in Lansing, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience working with customers, managing orders and purchase orders, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, products, services, and account inquiries.


• Provide professional customer service and resolve customer questions and concerns.


• Support sales activities by processing customer requests, quotes, orders, and follow-ups.


• Process and track Purchase Orders (POs) and customer orders.


• Coordinate with sales, purchasing, operations, shipping, and other internal departments.


• Monitor order status and provide customers with updates on deliveries, changes, and issues.


• Research and resolve order discrepancies, pricing issues, and customer concerns.


• Maintain accurate customer, order, and transaction records.


• Follow up with customers regarding quotes, orders, deliveries, and outstanding requests.


• Assist sales representatives with customer accounts and administrative tasks.


• Handle multiple customer accounts and priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.


• Document customer interactions and resolutions in the CRM system.


• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor.


• Perform other customer service, sales support, and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• 2+ years of customer service, sales support, inside sales, or related experience preferred.


• Experience processing or managing Purchase Orders (POs) and customer orders.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.


• Good understanding of sales and order processing workflows.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Ability to manage multiple orders, customers, and priorities.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
