About the job

We are seeking a Storage IPv6 Administrator to support the client by managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise storage systems within an IPv6-enabled environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, security, and reliability of storage infrastructure while supporting IPv6 adoption and integration across storage technologies.


Responsibilities

  • Configure, administer, and maintain enterprise storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and Direct Attached Storage (DAS).
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of storage infrastructure.
  • Monitor storage utilization, capacity, health, and performance metrics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Configure storage technologies to operate within IPv4 and IPv6 network environments.
  • Support storage lifecycle management, maintenance, and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to support IPv6 initiatives.


Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise storage solutions.
  • Experience managing and administering SAN, NAS, and Direct Attached Storage (DAS) environments.
  • Hands-on experience configuring storage systems for IPv6 and IPv4 communications.
  • Experience monitoring storage capacity, health, and performance.
  • Experience implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to storage infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.


Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IPv6 networking, addressing, routing, and subnetting.
  • Experience supporting IPv6 migration or modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of network design principles and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience working in enterprise or government environments.
