Role Description The Insurance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in either our Viera or Merritt Island, FL locations. This position focuses on helping customers identify their insurance needs, explaining coverage options, and recommending suitable products such as auto, home, life, and other personal lines. Daily responsibilities include responding to inquiries, providing quotes, processing policy changes, and assisting with billing or claims-related questions. The role involves maintaining accurate customer records, following up on leads, and supporting agency marketing and outreach efforts. The Insurance Specialist collaborates with team members to meet agency goals, deliver consistent customer service, and uphold State Farm’s standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Insurance knowledge and experience, including familiarity with personal lines insurance products


• Background in finance or financial services, with the ability to discuss basic financial concepts


• Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written interactions with diverse customers


• Experience in insurance brokerage or sales, with comfort presenting coverage options and closing business


• Commitment to high-quality customer service, including problem-solving and follow-through


• Ability to work on-site full time in Viera East, FL and collaborate effectively within a team environment


• Organizational skills and attention to detail for managing policy information and documentation


• Relevant state insurance licenses (or willingness to obtain) and prior sales or customer-facing experience
