Company Description Primetime Expedited Services help Class A Driver find local, regional, dedicated, and over the road driving position with carriers who are looking to hire qualified drivers.

Role Description Yard Driver role at PrimeTime Expedited Services is a full-time, on-site position based in Sumner, WA. This role is home daily position and day shift position. Weekends are required. This role is responsible for safely moving trailers and trucks within the yard, including spotting trailers to designated docks, staging areas, and parking locations. Day-to-day tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, verifying trailer numbers and paperwork, and coordinating with dispatch, warehouse, and dock personnel to support efficient loading and unloading. The Yard Driver helps maintain an organized yard layout, follows all safety protocols, and reports any equipment or yard issues promptly. The role may also involve basic unloading assistance, adherence to company policies and DOT regulations, and consistent communication with supervisors and team members.

$25-26.00 per hour with 55 minimum hours a week.

Qualifications

Must have 6 months or more tractor trailer experience within the past 3 years.

• Possess CDL Class A and strong Truck Driving experience, with a solid record of safe operations.


• Demonstrated Yard Management skills, including trailer spotting, yard organization, and coordination with dock or warehouse teams.


• Ability to perform Unloading tasks when required, including working safely around loading docks and material handling equipment.


• Effective Communication skills to interact with dispatch, supervisors, and team members, and to follow written and verbal instructions.


• Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant driving or yard hostler experience preferred.


• Knowledge of basic DOT safety regulations and company safety procedures.


• Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, stand and walk for extended periods, and handle moderate physical activity.


• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
