Position Purpose
The Mobile Optical Lab Technician will be responsible for assisting with the operations of the Youth Vision Program activities in the Tampa Bay area on behalf of Lions World Vision Institute. The program provides services in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Youth Vision Program activities include vision screening, glasses fittings, and/or refraction eye exam clinics at schools, community events or other designated locations.
The Mobile Optical Lab Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the Mobile Optical Lab vehicle while providing optical lab services, including eyewear preparation, lens edging, and final inspections. This role ensures high-quality optical services while also safely transporting and maintaining the mobile unit.

The work environment described here are representative of those employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to an office-like-environment. The noise level is usually low.
Equipment required for this position includes but are not limited to, standard office space and equipment, standard PC equipment and printers and telephone.
