Impact Family Office is seeking to grow our team with a mid-level Accounting candidate, who will play a key role in executing the financial reporting and accounting processes for our clients. POSITION SUMMARY



  • Position Title: Mid-Level Accounting Position

  • Reports To: Accounting Manager

  • Location: In-Office — Santa Barbara, CA

  • Employment Status: Full-Time

  • FLSA Status: Exempt

  • Start Date: Immediately




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • The essential functions for the role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform full-cycle accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, P/R, G/L, tax payments), including, month end closing, journal entries, period-end adjustments, and general ledger maintenance

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages (cash flow, liquidity, etc.)

  • Monitor and review record of assets, liabilities, and investment activities across multiple related entities and holding structures

  • Review, analyze, and reconcile bank, credit card, investment, and loan statements, including intercompany transactions and allocations between entities

  • Maintain compliance calendars for and coordinate with tax professionals, attorneys, investment advisors, vendors, and tenants as needed per client

  • Communicating with vendors to address any past due invoices on their account and providing weekly status updates to management/client

  • Administrative and office managerial tasks for company and clients including processing invoices, bill payments, scanning and organizing documents, etc.

  • Tracking of work time for invoicing clients

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned




QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)

  • 3-5+ years of experience in accounting, business administration or other financial services roles

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP; exposure to private company and/or trust accounting is a plus

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships

  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate confidential and sensitive information appropriately

  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple clients, projects, and deadlines simultaneously

  • Willingness to, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion. Desire to take ownership of work, follow through on tasks and orientation to action

  • Skilled in working with cross functional teams to achieve overall business objectives

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong computer aptitude, including experience with all MS Office programs, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or other forms of accounting software

  • Team player who recognizes learning opportunities and can flex to fill different roles in a small organization and fast-paced environment
