Corporate Tax Manager

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading investment firm to hire a Tax Manager focused on corporate tax compliance and provision. This individual will play an important role within the broader tax function, overseeing tax reporting and compliance for corporate entities while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and external tax advisors. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in corporate taxation, including ASC 740 tax provision work, federal and state income tax compliance, and experience working within a complex corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.


• Prepare and review federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments.


• Manage tax provision calculations, including current and deferred taxes, effective tax rate reconciliations, and supporting workpapers.


• Maintain and analyze deferred tax assets and liabilities and related tax account reconciliations.


• Support the preparation of financial statement tax disclosures and provide tax-related information for financial reporting.


• Coordinate with external tax advisors on corporate compliance, provision, and other tax matters.


• Partner closely with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and appropriate treatment of transactions.

Ideal Background

• 5+ years of corporate tax experience within public accounting and/or industry.


• Strong experience with federal and state corporate income tax compliance.


• Hands-on experience with ASC 740 tax provisions and financial statement tax reporting.


• Strong understanding of current and deferred tax accounting, effective tax rate calculations, and tax account reconciliations.


• Experience working with complex corporate structures and multiple legal entities.


• Ability to manage multiple deadlines across compliance and financial reporting cycles.


• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


• Experience partnering with Accounting, Finance, and external tax advisors.


• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related field.


• CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
