A leading multinational company in the dietary supplements and vitamins manufacturing industry is looking for a bilingual Quality Manager (English/Spanish) to lead the Quality and Food Safety system at its manufacturing plant in Florida.
The Mission
Lead the plant's Quality and Food Safety Management System, covering QA/QC, regulatory compliance (FDA, FDACS, NSF, SQF, HACCP, cGMP), audits, investigations and CAPA, supplier qualification and FSVP, and sanitation. You will lead the Quality and Sanitation teams and serve as the quality point of contact for customers of the group's manufacturing plants in the U.S. and Colombia, ensuring every released product meets specifications and regulatory requirements, certifications are maintained, and consumer health and company reputation are protected.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with 21 CFR Part 111, cGMP, HACCP, SQF, NSF, organic and other applicable standards.
- Host and manage regulatory, certification and customer inspections and audits (FDA, FDACS, NSF), ensuring timely closure of all observations.
- Make disposition decisions (release, reject, quarantine) on raw materials, in-process and finished products based on analytical and microbiological results.
- Lead investigations of non-conformances, deviations, customer complaints and OOS results, driving root cause analysis and effective CAPA.
- Manage supplier, material and laboratory qualification programs, including quality agreements, risk assessments and requalification.
- Own the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) to ensure FDA/FSMA compliance.
- Act as the technical quality lead for customers, managing audits, complaints, specifications and quality agreements, and coordinating with the Colombia plant on cross-border customer matters.
- Oversee the Sanitation team and the Master Sanitation Schedule, enforcing GMP, food safety and food defense across the plant.
- Serve on the Crisis Management Committee, leading product quality and safety risk assessments, containment actions and recall execution.
- Define and track quality KPIs, present monthly performance reports to leadership, and manage the Quality and Sanitation budget and team development.
Requirements
- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or Chemical Engineering.
- 6–8 years of QA/QC experience in dietary supplements, vitamins, food or pharmaceutical manufacturing under GMP, including at least 2 years leading quality teams (Quality Manager or similar).
- Proven experience hosting FDA inspections and certification audits (NSF, SQF or BRC).
- HACCP certification (required); solid knowledge of 21 CFR Part 111, FSMA/FSVP, SQF and food defense.
- Strong skills in root cause analysis, CAPA, strategic planning, KPI management and budgeting.
- Full professional fluency in English and Spanish (C1 or higher) is essential, as you will work daily with teams and customers in the U.S. and Latin America.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
