Schedule: Monday–Friday 8am-4:30pm


Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Remote & Onsite


Training: Up to 6 weeks; attendance required daily onsite

Position Overview


Our client is seeking a Managed Care Specialist for a 12-month contract opportunity in downtown Nashville, TN, with potential for extension. This is a hybrid position, requiring candidates to be local to Middle Tennessee and able to commute to the Nashville office as needed.


The selected contractor will receive extensive training for up to six weeks, conducted virtually and/or onsite based on business needs. No preplanned PTO will be approved during training.


Key Responsibilities



  • Determine individual and family eligibility for applicable care programs.

  • Coordinate and communicate schedules with internal and external clients.

  • Conduct client interviews and gather relevant facts and information.

  • Compile case information and provide recommendations to attorneys.

  • Manage assigned casework from intake through resolution while maintaining accurate documentation.

  • Conduct legal research and analyze legal documents and related information.

  • Assist with drafting legal documents and accurately document findings.

  • Research and retrieve information using multiple databases and systems.

  • Attend workgroup meetings and actively participate in discussions.

  • Provide administrative and operational support to leadership as needed.

  • Maintain organized case files, notes, emails, and supporting documentation.

  • Prioritize multiple assignments while consistently meeting deadlines.


Required Qualifications



  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Paralegal studies or related legal experience is a plus.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including:

  • Word

  • Excel

  • Outlook

  • PowerPoint

  • SharePoint

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent note-taking, email organization, and information distribution skills.

  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work efficiently across multiple databases and systems.


Location Requirement


Candidates MUST be local to Middle Tennessee and able to commute to the client's downtown Nashville office when onsite work is required.


Work Schedule & Training



  • Monday–Friday 8am-4:30pm

  • Hybrid schedule based on team and business needs

  • Training may last up to 6 weeks - onsite

  • Daily attendance is required throughout training

  • No preplanned PTO during training weeks
