Carolina Complete Psychiatry – Charlotte, NC (SouthPark Area)

Carolina Complete Psychiatry is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient psychiatric practice in Charlotte, NC.

Founded in 2015, Carolina Complete Psychiatry is an established, clinician-owned private practice providing individualized psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults. We pride ourselves on providing thoughtful, accessible care while maintaining the flexibility and personal atmosphere of a small private practice.

We are looking for a provider who values developing long-term relationships with patients and wants to practice psychiatry in an environment that allows for clinical judgment, autonomy, and individualized treatment.

The provider will evaluate and treat outpatient psychiatric patients through a combination of in-office and telehealth appointments.

Responsibilities include:

• Psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments


• Medication management and ongoing psychiatric care


• Development of individualized treatment plans


• Monitoring medication effectiveness, side effects, and overall clinical progress


• Coordination with therapists, primary care providers, schools, and other members of a patient's treatment team when appropriate


• Providing supportive and therapeutic interventions as part of comprehensive psychiatric care


• Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation

Applicants must be either:

• A Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina, or


• A board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina.

Previous psychiatric experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider and train the right new graduate who has a strong interest in psychiatry.

• Compassionate and comfortable working with patients with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses


• Interested in developing strong skills in outpatient psychiatry


• Able to work independently while also collaborating with a small clinical and administrative team


• Reliable, organized, and responsive


• Comfortable developing ongoing relationships with patients and families


• Thoughtful about prescribing and committed to evidence-based psychiatric care


• Interested in working in a private-practice environment rather than a high-volume corporate setting


• Eager to learn, receptive to feedback, and committed to continued professional growth

Experience working with children and adolescents is especially valuable, although the patient population can be tailored somewhat to the provider's experience and interests.

Carolina Complete Psychiatry is located in the SouthPark area of Charlotte and has served the Charlotte community for more than a decade.

Our practice offers psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults and provides both in-person and virtual appointments. We are an established practice with administrative support and an existing patient population, allowing clinicians to focus primarily on providing excellent patient care.

Our office is open:

Monday & Wednesday: 8:30 AM–8:00 PM

Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 AM–3:30 PM

Specific provider scheduling and patient hours can be discussed based on practice needs and the candidate's availability.

Compensation will be competitive and based on experience. Additional details regarding compensation and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
