Dietary Supervisor
Bishop Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is looking for a Dietary Supervisor to work in our facility in Syracuse, NY.
Must be available to work morning and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Duties:
Assists Director with overseeing the daily operations of the dietary department including the kitchen, dish room and food storage areas.
Adheres to state regulations, current best practices, policies, and procedures for food preparation and meal service.
Ensures dietary staff are adhering to department policies and procedures for food handling, preparation, and service.
Provides regular communication to the Director regarding food service operations.
Conducts routine audits and monitors performance.
Requirements:
Performs job functions of all dietary positions when necessary.
Maintains a working knowledge of federal regulations of the State Department of Health code and rules and regulations regarding meal service.
Ensures proper preparation, handling, and service of food in accordance with state rules and regulations.
Assists with the training of new and current department staff.
Provides feedback to the Director on the work performance of Dining Services staff members.
Arrives to work on time, regularly, and works as scheduled.
Recognizes and follows the dress code of the department.
Abides by the code of conduct, compliance, and HIPAA policies.
