Job Description
We are seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our team in a high-volume food distribution center in Lakeville. The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in supporting daily operations by performing mechanical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on material-handling and facility equipment. This role focuses on mechanical systems, as all electrical work is outsourced.
Responsibilities
- Maintain mechanical systems on conveyors, sorters, palletizers, dock levelers, racking, and packaging equipment.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting to identify root causes of failures and restore equipment to service.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Repair hydraulic and pneumatic components including cylinders, valves, hoses, regulators, and actuators.
- Support refrigeration contractors by handling mechanical tasks around doors, seals, evaporator housings, and mechanical hardware.
- Perform facility maintenance such as mechanical door repairs, dock equipment adjustments, and racking repairs.
- Document work orders in the CMMS and communicate equipment status to supervisors.
- Coordinate with outsourced electricians when issues involve wiring, controls, or electrical components.
Essential Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial mechanical repair.
- Hands-on experience with conveyor systems, bearings, chains, belts, rollers, and gearboxes.
- Mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics.
- Experience with maintenance repair, electrical, PLC troubleshooting, welding, PLC control, electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with 3 phase, installation, and electrical maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in maintenance, repair, mechanical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and preventative maintenance.
- Experience with conveyors is highly desirable.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
